Mickie Williams was arrested Thursday in San Diego on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Williams, who has committed to Memphis for the upcoming season, is currently ranked No. 34 in his class by ESPN.
Williams paid a $50,000 bond and it was issued at 12:14 a.m. Friday. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Williams is charged with violating California Penal Code Chapter 9, Section 245(a)(2), which includes “any person who commits an assault of another person with a firearm.”
The charge carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
