It’s do or die for the New York Rangers. After going up 2-0 in the series, the Rangers are now on the brink of elimination, having lost three in a row. Even worse, they didn’t show up for Games 4 and 5, both of which they considered must-wins. The good news is this team has the talent to win both games 6 and 7. The bad news is we’ve never seen them turn up like this before.
The Rangers need their superstars to show up. By stars, we mean Mika Zibanijad and Artemy Panarin, who didn’t make it into all of the series. Someone needs to step up for this team, and quite frankly, it doesn’t matter who. The whole team seemed to have sucked the life out of them with their fifth round draft pick.
Someone needs to get this work done, or the series is over tonight.
