The NHL awards are all done and with the dust settling, we now have a clear picture of how voting turned out for this year’s festivities.
Concluding with voting for the NHL All-Star team, three of the Leafs’ starting blocks found themselves on the final chart but not enough to sneak into the first or second team.

Mitch Marner has the most votes among Leafs players this season with a total of 51 points, receiving 10 second-place votes and 21 third-place votes. After finishing a 99-point season, he was already a Selke Trophy finalist and had some honors for the Hart Trophy and Lady Byng Award.
Auston Matthews finished seventh among NHL centers with eight points due to receiving one second-place vote and five third-place votes. Despite coming off an injury-plagued season because he couldn’t surpass his 60-goal career the previous season, he still managed to score 40 goals for the fifth time in his career and had the second-best stat. year of his career with 85 points.
And William Nylander rounds out the group with just one point and one vote for the third-place Whigs. His 2022-23 season was the best of his career scoring wise as he scored a career-high 40 for the first time ever and was flirting with 90 points while being one of four Leafs not to miss a game during the regular season. Nylander’s impressive season helped him earn some votes for the Lady Byng Award as well as a nod to the All-Star team.
All in all, the Leafs haven’t taken home any awards this year and aside from Marner being a Selke finalist, he’s not even close to the awards they have.
