The serial Serbian winner, Petar Bozic, has secured his first title of the season as he has been named Molten Kevin Cadle Coach of the Month for December, after an exceptional month leading the London Lions.
A 6-1 record in the Championship isn’t out of step with the
with Coach Bozic’s usual monthly returns for the Lions, however this month the
play-caller has had to deal with a significant injury backlog that has truly
tested the depth of his talented roster.
December started off with a defeat for London as the Caledonia Gladiators got the better of them in a close-fought thriller at the Copper Box, but from there on in the Lions didn’t miss a beat as they went unbeaten for the rest of the month.
With regular rotations to his starting lineup required as
the injury list mountain, the Lions kept rolling forward and achieved a string
of solid wins to take them into 2024 ready to attack the British Basketball
League Trophy with real momentum behind them.
Labelled the ‘Professional Trophy Winner’ in his native Serbia, Coach Bozic has needed all of his experience and knowhow to guide the defending champions through December successfully, but with a decisive January ahead, could the Head Coach end another month with silverware at Utilita Arena Birmingham in the Trophy Final?
