USA Hockey has announced the remaining coaching staff for the 2024 USA Junior National Team that will compete at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championships, from December 26, 2023 to January 5, 2024 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
St. Cloud State coach Brett Larson and Minnesota assistant coach Steve Miller are named assistant coaches, USA hockey coach David Lasondi, and Denver hockey operations director Travis Culhane.
The group will work with Denver head coach David Karl, who was previously named the team’s head coach.
“We have a great coaching staff overall,” John Vanbiesbrouck, general manager of the 2024 USA Junior Team and assistant executive director of hockey operations for USA Hockey, said in a statement. “The mix of experience we have will serve us well in our ultimate goal of bringing home the gold medal.”
“I’m grateful to have such a great group of assistant coaches,” Carl added. “I look forward to leveraging the vast experience they bring together to put us in the best possible position to win the gold medal.”
