Glasgow Clan has started a new era under their new ownership with their first signing for the 2023/24 season.
Coach Jason Morgan added British international Robert Lachowicz to his roster. The 33-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Guildford Flames after spending most of his career in Nottingham’s elite league with the Cheetahs.
Morgan said of his first signing: “I am delighted to welcome Robert to the team following his time with Guildford and helped them to a second-place finish in the league”. “He’s a veteran center with that international experience. He’ll add great depth and leadership to us and I’ll be looking for him to solidify the fourth line.
“We are delighted to have Robert and I look forward to working with him.”
Lachovic, who has played more than 900 matches in the elite league, added: “It is a very exciting time now that we have been able to close the deal and put pen to paper. I am delighted to be part of the clan and everything is moving forward.
“To be honest, it was a little bit intimidating to go to Braehead Arena because the fans are standing over you, especially when it’s so loud in there. So it would be great to experience the other side of that and have the support that carries us forward.
“I’ve known a lot of the guys who played there and they all loved the city, so with the new owners I think it would be great to be a part of that/”
