The flyweight bout between Kai Kara France and Amir Elbazy has been promoted to UFC on ESPN 45.
Kara France announced the move on Facebook
“Who are these men?” podcast, and was later confirmed by
MMAjunkie.com. The UFC on ESPN 45 needed a new main event after Jack Hermanson pulled out of a proposed middleweight bout against Brendan Allen. Now Kara France and Albazzi will have five rides to work with.
Kara France last appeared at UFC 277, suffering a third-round technical knockout loss to current flyweight king Brandon Moreno this past July. He was supposed to face Alex Perez at UFC 284 but was forced to pull off the card due to an injury.
Albazzi, meanwhile, has only lost once in 17 professional matches. The Baghdad native began his promotional stint with four straight wins, including a third-round KO of Alessandro Costa in his last appearance at UFC Fight Night 216.
