The first fights for Super RIZIN 2, the RIZIN Fighting Federation part of the Bellator X RIZIN 2 card are scheduled for July.
On July 30, he will face former bantamweight champion Juan Archuleta (28-4) and former bantamweight champion Kai Asakura (20-4) in the traditional RIZIN ring. The high-profile match would be Arculeta’s second for RIZIN; He appeared at RIZIN 42 earlier this month, winning a decision against Naoki Inoue.
This victory extended Archuleta’s current winning streak to three in a row.
Asakura is 4-1 in his last five matches, and will come away winning against Yuki Motoya when he takes on the “Spaniard”. Asakura made his way to the final of the 2021 RIZIN Bantamweight Grand Prix, falling to Hiromasa Ougikubo in the final.
Also announced is Bellator X RIZIN 2’s Super RIZIN 2 mode, Mikuru Asakura (17-3, 1NC), the older brother of former champion Kai. He is ready for his featherweight bout with Vugar Karamov (18-4) from Azerbaijan.
