Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray recently complimented assistant coach David Adelman, saying the 42-year-old should get more coaching offers.
(via Denver Nuggets):
Reporter: After Game 4, [Michael] Malone said of David Adelman that he should get a job as head coach next summer. How has it kind of affected you and helped your game since you two were together here in Denver? “
Murray: “Yeah, not just me but everyone. I just think it puts everybody in the right places. When it’s time to lock up, he can lock you up. It’s funny. He’s on the move a lot, yeah, but when we mess up, you know when you’re a mess but you get away with it.” Punishment? Yeah, it will get the better of you, and I think I respect that a lot just because we’re all in this together. It’s not like it’s malicious or anything, it’s just that we have a purpose here. We’re all here for a reason. Lovely. I go to it for a lot Offensive stuff, just reading and what he’s seen just because I know he’s locked in to that, and sometimes the coach might think about subs or formations or time and score, whatever. But he always gave me great input on what we can run or sometimes we have the same ideas, Which is really cool to see how I feel in the game and he also sees it from afar. Well deserved, and he should definitely get more offers.”
