Della Maddalena, a former competitor on Dana White’s Contender Series, emerged as a talent to watch at 170 pounds after four straight wins – all within a round – within the promotion in Las Vegas. Recently, the 26-year-old Australian introduced Randy Brown in the opening segment of their confrontation at UFC 284.
Meanwhile, Brady is coming off his first defeat in 16 professional bouts: a second-round TKO loss to Bilal Muhammad at UFC 280 last October. The former Cage Fury Fighting Championship holder began his UFC tenure with five straight wins, a streak that has seen him best the likes of Court McGee, Jake Matthews, and Michael Chiesa along the way.
