The Memphis Grizzlies were disappointed after losing in the first round to the Los Angeles Lakers. Several Grizzlies have expressed that they know they need to get better, including franchise player Ja Morant.
Morant took ownership of the Memphis shorts, starting with himself.
“I just have to get better at my decision-making. The out-of-court issues have affected us as an organization,” Morant said.
When asked about a follow-up, Morant reiterated that making better decisions starts with him, as the team’s captain.
“Like I said before, (takeaways) off the field and on the field. Just disciplining. Off the field, it’s about making better decisions. On the field, it’s about more confinement,” Morant said. “Being the captain of the team, it starts with me. However, attacking any situation, I know my comrades will follow me. I have to be better at that area.”
