The 2023 US Women’s Open kicks off Thursday morning, July 6, with the opening round at historic Pebble Beach Golf Links. Here’s what you need to know to watch the first round of the US Women’s Open on TV or online.
Preview of the first US Women’s Open Tour
The US Women’s Open is the biggest women’s tournament of the year, and it has a fitting host venue this year: storied Pebble Beach. The site of many historic moments from the men’s match will now challenge the LPGA’s best players to determine this year’s champion.
Much attention will be riveted on Michelle Wie-West, the former champion who will start the US Women’s Open finals this week.
At the other end of the spectrum we have Rose Zhang, a rising star who recently turned pro after topping off her amazing amateur career with a win at the Augusta National Amateur. How did you celebrate turning pro? Just by winning her first-ever LPGA Championship as a professional at the Mizuho Americas Open last month.
They’ll be playing for a massive $11 million prize pool, and the winning player who lifts the trophy on Sunday will take home $2 million. And it all starts on Thursday.
Golf fans will have multiple options for watching the opening round on Thursday, including five-hour telecasts on USA and premium syndicated broadcast coverage on Peacock.
