Mark your calendars, UConn fans. The 2023-24 NBA schedule was released on Thursday, and for those eager to find out how former Huskies Jordan Hawkins, Andre Jackson and Adama Sanogo will fare at the next level, there will be plenty of opportunities to watch firsthand.
Jackson could make his debut on national television on Oct. 26, when the Milwaukee Bucks open the season against the Philadelphia 76ers on TNT. Fans could have plenty of chances to see the former UConn captain in action, with the Bucks scheduled for 19 games broadcast on ABC, TNT or ESPN. Eleven more Bucks games are set to be broadcast on NBA TV.
Jackson’s first matchup with former teammate Jordan Hawkins could come on Jan. 27, when the Bucks host the Pelicans in Milwaukee. Those two teams meet again in New Orleans on March 28, in a game broadcast on NBA TV.
Hawkins’ Pelicans will be featured on national television 12 times next season. Fans will get a chance to see how the sharp-shooting rookie fares right away, as three of New Orleans’ first four games will be broadcast either by NBA TV or ESPN. The Pelicans open the season against the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 25 and are set to have six NBA TV games next season.
As for 2023 Final Four Most Outstanding Player Adama Sanogo, who went undrafted but signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, sightings may be a bit more rare. Players on two-way contracts are only eligible to be active for 50 of their team’s 82 regular-season games. If Sanogo makes a major impact in Chicago however, his contract could be converted into a regular NBA contract.
The Bulls, who also feature former UConn big man Andre Drummond, open the season on Oct. 25 against Oklahoma City. They’ll face Jackson’s Bucks four times in the regular season, beginning on Nov. 13 in Milwaukee. Chicago hosts Hawkins’ Pelicans on Dec. 2 and travels to New Orleans on Feb. 25.
The Bulls are set to play seven national television games next season, with three on ESPN, one on TNT and three on NBA TV.
Of course, fans looking to watch all season can see every non-national TV game by signing up for NBA League Pass.
