Former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, and recent signing to the PFL (Professional Fighters League), Francis Ngannou, has been warned about potential seeking a professional boxing debut against former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder by decorated gold-bearer, Terence Crawford, with Batié Citizen warned of potentially devastating loss by KO.
A ruthless knockout artist in his own right, Ngannou has been banished from combat sports since January of last year, most recently headlining at UFC 270 against former heavyweight champion, Cyril Jean – successfully unifying the titles in a unanimous decision win over the Frenchman.
After electing to leave the UFC in January this year after completing his contractual obligations with the promotion, Ngannou penned terms on a blockbuster deal with Peter Murray-led PFL earlier this month.
Expected to remain a mixed martial arts side until next year, Cameroonian heavyweight Francis Nganou is set to turn focus to his long-rumoured debut in the squared circle – looking forward to fights against the likes of the aforementioned, Wilder, current champ, Tyson Fury, and former Gold Bearer, Anthony Joshua.

However, according to the welterweight team captain, the undefeated Crawford and N’Gano would be wise to avoid fighting Wilder in the future – warning him of a potentially brutal knockout loss that could be on the receiving end.
Terrence Crawford said, “If[Deontay Wilder]hits you, you’ll fall asleep.” Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour While debating Francis Nganu. “Deontay Wilder, hit you, you’ll sleep. Tyson Fury, go to sleep and wake up. I don’t see a lot of other guys do that. Deontay Wilder is one of the biggest punchers of all time, so just keep that in mind.”
After winning the UFC’s undisputed heavyweight gold in March 2021, Ngannou landed the undisputed title with a stunning second-round KO victory over Stipe Miocic, avenging an earlier decision loss to the Ohio veteran.
