Former undisputed bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo will make his second walk into the octagon this year later this summer, appearing in a main card fight against fellow 135-pound contender Marlon Vera at UFC 292 on the 19th. August. From TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Henry Cejudo, a currently ranked third-ranked bantamweight contender, most recently titled at UFC 288 in May of this year, where he suffered a close, split decision loss to current undisputed bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling in Newark, New Jersey.

As for Vera, the Ecuadorian, who is currently ranked sixth in the official bantamweight stack, suffered his first loss after winning four bouts in March in the main event after UFC Fight Night San Antonio, falling to one side. A losing decision to rise, Cory Sandhagen. ESPN MMA Reporter, Brett Okamoto confirmed the pairing according to UFC President, Dana White.
“Let’s go. Cejudo vs. Chito has been added to UFC 292 in Boston, per Dana White,” Okamoto tweeted. “Three round, on the same card as Sterling, O’Malley’s title fight. It’s mega bantamweight night in Beantown, Aug. 19.”
Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling, Los Angeles-born competitor Henry Cejudo ended a three-year hiatus in the octagon in May of this year, having withdrawn from active competition following a successful defense of his bantamweight title over two previous occasions. With his professional record of 20-8-1, a Chone favorite, Vera racked up a quartet of winning streak before losing by unanimous decision to Sandhagen earlier this year in “The Lone Star State.”
Over the course of this winning streak, Vera defeats Davey Grant, wins Rob Font in a decision, before stopping former lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, and regular foe, Cruz in stunning high-kick KO victories.
