Georges St-Pierre opens up about his last training session with Elon Musk.
The news was abuzz with the possibility of a cage fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
Photos of Elon Musk training alongside former UFC champ, Georges St-Pierre have emerged, and St-Pierre shares his thoughts on the potential bout.
Speaking with TSN, St-Pierre said:
“I don’t know if this fight will happen. I told him that if he needed me I would be there for him. It would be an honor. However, there is a part of me that hopes this can be resolved differently.”
St-Pierre’s continuation in detail (h/t MMAmania):
“People don’t realize that someone like Elon Musk is very busy. He devotes most of his time to working on things that change the fate of humanity. And if he decides to prepare himself for something like that, that means he’s going to have to take some time out of his schedule to do it.”
The 42-year-old went on to say:
“And I think he’s very important, and what he’s doing now and the things he’s working on now is more important than fighting in the cage. And I could lie and try to take advantage of this situation, but it’s not me. I try to be as honest as possible. Although I think he can do So, I hope this can be resolved in a different way.”
So you have it, St-Pierre (26-2 MMA) would be more than happy to be with Elon Musk if the fight became a reality, though he would prefer it if he didn’t fight billionaires.
Regarding St-Pierre’s training session with Musk, the Canadian shared:
“That was a great experience, I had a lot of fun with Elon. He’s someone I really respect for all his achievements and all the ideas he stands for. We trained together and what I can tell you is he’s a lot stronger than the average guy and he’s very tough.”
In closing, St-Pierre talked about Musk’s physical skills:
“He had a background in judo, and we know from his history: when he’s fixed his target, he’s unstoppable. And that’s the quality of a very good fighter, if you take that into fighting, that’s the most important thing. Because in fighting, things aren’t always — things aren’t always As easy as you might expect, there are always hurdles.”
