According to Daily Faceoff insider Frank Seravalli, at least four major names are confirmed to be on the Toronto Maple Leafs’ roster for GM interviews. While others have reported that it might be Brad Triliving’s job to lose, the Leafs will have Jason Bottrell, Mark Bergevin, and Peter Chiarelli in high regard.
This report comes after other insiders noted that the Leafs have put together a roster and TSN roster said Pierre Lebrun That the team is likely to talk to these candidates. Some are wondering if these are just names on a roster to make it seem like the Leafs are doing their due diligence and Treliving is still the favorite. Others also think that Treliving isn’t a lock and that Brendan Shanahan will seriously look into these other options.
Bet365 has Treliving with the best odds of getting the job at -140, but other names on the list are Eric Tulsky, Brandom Pridham, Mark Hunter, and others. What’s interesting about this is that these names are not an experienced CEO, something Shanahan emphasized is an important part of the hiring process. Note Nick Kyprios There’s no way the Leafs can call the catcher after their history and how bitter fans of the team are about his relationship with Owen Sound.
Other fans had heard Bergevin and Chiarelli’s names and just the fact that they were mentioned in connection with the team infuriated members of the Leaf Nation, and for all the wrong reasons.
It seems few people will love this unless it’s a triple life, and even then, some will hate the trades he made in Calgary and wonder what kind of step backwards the team is taking away from Dupas in what appears to be an emotional and impulsive decision, at best.
