After an uninspiring day 1, the world of golf fashion bounced back on day two. We broke down the best and worst bouts from Friday in Augusta where JT sleeps with wolves, BillyHo mixes up pastels, DJ goes Rat Pack and more. We even highlight a good-looking rules administrator.

Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren and Footjoy)
Today’s look goes to Billy Hurschel. Mixing and matching pastels is trickier than it sounds. If you get it wrong, it looks like an Easter egg. Put it in there, and well, you’re BillyHo. We need a GolfThreads Hall of Fame and Billy should be our first inductee. I’m trying to recreate this look for my tour tomorrow.
Justin Thomas (Greyson Clothiers & FootJoy)
A true fashion guru (is that just a word?) can assess the situation and pivot when needed. Props to JT for checking the weather forecast and making sure his best shift of the week isn’t covered in rain gear. the A den of thieves It’s one of my favorite Grayson prints. At a distance it looks like paisley. Close? Check out hidden wolves. JT, all I can say is…
Dustin Johnson (Extracurricular and Foot Joey)
The best DJ looks have always been monochromatic outfits. He always pairs them well with white hats and white shoes. I love the Hollywood Rat Pack vibe of this fit with the contrasting collar.
Cameron Young (Peter Millar and Footjoy)
I get it. FJ Wilcoxs pastels love them or hate them. I wasn’t sure about them when I saw them on social media earlier in the week, but they blew me away. Plus, Cam did the right thing by keeping the rest of his fitness understated and letting the focus fall on kicks.
On the other hand, we’ve had a lot of questions about Young’s panties over the past couple of years. It’s a custom pant Peter Millar made for him with an aggressive cutout below the knee. Think of a jogger without the elastic cuffs. The good news is that Peter Millar just released those who don’t have ball speeds of 190mph. called Blade Performance Ankle Sweatpants It is available in three different lengths. I suggest choosing an inseam that is shorter than your usual length for a more cropped look.
Abraham Unser (Black Quail Apparel & FootJoy)
I mentioned yesterday that I missed Joaquin Niemann’s style on the PGA Tour. You can add Araham Ancer to that list as well. I like to use evil eye, which is meant to ward off the real evil eye, like the all-over print on this polo. We could all use a little evil on the trail. The pastel blue FootJoys loafers were the perfect complement and subtly captured the light blue hue in the evil eye print.
Charles Schwartzl (Redvanly & Jordan Brand)
Hey Charles! Why so down. The fit isn’t that bad. tipping on Jacket It has an old school feel and kicks are fire. Yes, the logo on the left chest is distracting. Is this team Slytherin?
Taylor Moore (BDraddy & FootJoy)
After dropping an offense on Patrick Cantlay yesterday, a few people reached out to me to tell me that Tool Man is now with BDraddy. wait what? It’s clear that a fashion misdemeanor is on Patty’s Ice as BDraddy is one of the most fashion-conscious brands on the runways. To prove my point, Taylor Moore stepped into a very similar situation to BDraddy today and he was totally on point.
Kurt Kitayama (Chervo and Buxto)
A few years ago, plaid pants were all the rage. It’s good to see them come back in a better way. The simple white polo allows the focus to be on the pants and the dark belt blends in well for a smooth transition from top to bottom.
Keith Mitchell (Sid Mashburn & FootJoy)
Your daily dose of Keith cashmere.
Xander Schavelli (Adidas Golf)
I mentioned yesterday that I was having some fatigue about prints and patterns. the coloristic nature of This thumbnail print It caught my attention, though, because it’s dressed like a crucifix.
Rory McIlroy (Nike)
Some might call this a Sympathy Dime, and they might be right, but I love the clean look and the embossed strap adds a touch of texture and depth to the walker fit. Can we all catch a moment of silence for Rory’s hopes for the 2023 Masters? sigh.
Gordon Sargent (Footjoy)
The best dressed amateur of the day goes to Gordon Sargent. Nothing flashy here, but I’m all about tailoring his polo and pants. I always go for a good purple and this one Fj’s making violet is… WOW! BTW, Vanderbilt Golf must have one of the best logos in the NCAA with this anchor. LIV teams need to hire this graphic designer.
Pierre Beckmann (Masters Grammar Officer)
One of my favorite Prince lyrics is from the song “1999,” where the purple pop star sings, “I was dreaming when I wrote this / Forgive me when I stray.” Between (more than) a full-time day job and Masters week, I’m a little sleep-deprived, so forgive me for getting a little lost, but I need to drop fashion money on Mr. Beckman. green blazer, vintage ribbon elastic Masters cap, and azalea pink bow tie. Well played sir.

Victor Hofland
I know that when my wife and daughter text me, “What’s up with Hovland’s shirt,” it means something has gone horribly wrong. Apparently, Young Huff (sorry, Looting Borrowed that from No Laying Up), think twice about another color way for the Augusta Poinsettia Polo (not the official name). Instead, he went rogue and chose a color that could best be described as “organic” (not the official name either). I am often asked which player of the tour I would like to design. The answer is Victor Hofland. Please, Victor! Let me describe to you! There are many options in the JL lineup.
Bubba Watson
How many colors can we work with in one outfit? Sheesh! Basic green on the eyebrow. Mint green and black on the shoe. Clay red polo, and khaki pants. Not to mention that the shirt screams dark colored pants (black or navy). It’s like a 64-pack of Crayola crayons.
Sanjay M
Today’s white belt victim goes to Sungjae Im. I swear this guy has an unlimited amount of white belts.
