Kevon Looney is one of the best rebounders in the NBA. Most recently, he grabbed 22 rebounds in a game five win over the Kings that put the Warriors up 3-2 in the series.
Draymond Green was asked about the 27-year-old striker after the match. The four-time NBA champion compared his teammate Andre Iguodala to Shawn Livingston.
“Kevon became like Andre Iguodala, and Shawn Livingston became like Quiet Force,” Green said of Lonnie. “When we were younger in this race we had these guys, Sean and Andre, this list goes on, but these guys especially, no matter what was going on — I started to turn the ball over, Clay would understand, things go right — and they would come in and calm us down. Just.
“And Kefun is that for this team. He’s the stabilizing force that allows everyone else to focus on what they’re focusing on. The way he bounces the ball back is unbelievable.
“His game-making has taken another step in the right direction and continues to improve. He is a man in whom we have absolute confidence.
“And on the defensive end too, if I get knocked out, he’ll be there. And I know when I’m on the floor with him, I feel more comfortable on the defensive side just because he never misses a mission.”
Looney averages 6 points, 14.4 rebounds and 5 assists in 30.6 minutes per game in the playoffs this year.
