The Arizona Coyote is seeking to stay in Arizona and find a new home nearby after people rejected their plans to develop a $2.1 recreation area in Tempe in a referendum Tuesday. In an odd move, they asked Twitter users for advice on where to find a new rink.
Their approach got weird Friday when the Coyotes reappeared on Twitter with “If this gets X number of likes, we will,” a strategy that was most popular in the mid-late 2010s, telling fans they would reveal their new arena plans if they reached 20,000 likes.
Bundle, if this tweet gets 20k likes by the end of the day, we’ll be leaking plans for the new arena.

They posted the most ridiculous link for fans to discover, only to end up on a page where the play button is waiting. If you click, you’ll see a looping 10-hour video of Rick Ashley never giving up.
The waiting time is over. Click on the link below.https://t.co/nGnRYZMkcp

This is the dumbest move I’ve ever seen in an NHL franchise, especially one trying to show the league that it can be a real market and competitor.
I’m sorry but I’m done getting scammed by the Coyotes who just signed their death wish when it came to having fans on their side for a new arena in Arizona.

They need to be moved – and get a new team to handle social media!
