If shipped by the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard would just like to enjoy his competing opportunities.
According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Lillard does not necessarily need to play on a “superteam”, but rather be on a squad that gives him a chance to compete for a championship.
“he [Damian Lillard] He wants to play on a team that has a chance,” Hines said He said, who has a close connection with the All-Star guard. “He doesn’t want to be on a stacked team, he doesn’t want to be on a team where he’s only a 3-star or a 3-star.”
The Blazers continue to try to put nuggets around Lillard as they hope to convince the cornerstone of the franchise that they’re still committed to the competition. But the failure of their commercial catch by offering their No. 3 pick was a crushing blow to them.
With Scoot Henderson now on their side, it’s only a matter of time for Lillard to decide about his future in Portland. Haynes also reported recently that both camps will meet to discuss their plans moving forward.
Lillard has been heavily linked with the Miami Heat this summer. If he ever falls to the reigning Eastern Conference champion, he couldn’t ask for a much better opportunity to fight for the title with Jimmy Butler at his side.
