In St. Paul, the Dallas Stars beat the Minnesota Wild on Sunday with a 3-2 victory in Game 4.The decision held the series 2-2, returning to Dallas for Game 5 on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first period, Tyler Seguin scored from power play at 15:42 of the middle frame to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.
Dallas pushed the lead to 2-0 at 3:05 after the third goal with a goal by Evgeny Dadonov.
Jake Oettinger made 33 saves to seal the win for Dallas.
The Wild got on the board at 5:58 of the third to cut Dallas’ lead to 2-1.
At 16:29, Stars Seguín scored his second goal of the game, off a power play, to give Dallas a 3-1 advantage.
Dallas scored two goals with three strong play chances.
Seguin’s goal was the game-winner when Minnesota’s Frederic Goudreau hit a power lte with 80 seconds on the game clock for the final 3-2.
The wild scored just one of four opportunities to play.
Philip Gustafsson made 21 saves in the wild loss.
