Manager Raush Manfio responds to PFL suspension
Due to the conditions and reduced activity, the PFL suspended both Raush Manfio and Natan Schulte for the remainder of the regular season. This angered SuckerPunch Entertainment’s Brian Butler. Butler represents Raush Manfio and issued the following statement to MMAJunkie.com:
“Making such a subjective decision from a promotion betting on its claim to defend fighters is just bad looks, in my opinion,” said Butler. The judges make bad calls all the time with less repercussions. Raush and Natan are best friends and have been each other’s exclusive training partners for years.
“Situations like poorly styled matches and lackluster fights happen in this sport all the time, but the unique thing about the PFL and the ‘tournament/points format’ is that it will sort itself out in the end. Our client was paid half their pay and zero points to proceed in the tournament. .. This is abhorrent and unnecessary.”
Time will tell what Natan Schulte’s team will say.
