Clubs to Hire, the golf equipment rental company with outlets across Europe, Africa and Asia, has launched a unique competition open to dedicated golf enthusiasts.
Open to all golfers with an official world handicap, The race to Monte Rey It aims to reward players who have managed to reduce their handicap by at least 10% from the time they enter competition during the year.
Of the players who achieve this incredible feat, only 12 names will be drawn at random to win a trip to Portugal on November 26 to play at the fantastic Monte Rei Golf & Country Club near Faro, where the winners will be treated to a round. The Algarve’s great Jack Nicklaus designed the championship course and overnight accommodations in the club’s luxurious on-site residences.
Grand Finalists will also receive a gift bag, pre-match breakfast, and be invited to a post-golf gala dinner and awards ceremony. The award does not include flights to Faro.
Participation is free online and open to all golfers with an official handicap. All entries must be submitted by September 30th and will be checked by the organizers with the golfer’s home club. Regular updates will appear on the playoffs throughout the year.
Tony Judge, Founder of Clubs to Hire, said: “Each year, golfers of all levels set handicap targets for the golf season. the world.
And while 10% may sound relatively straightforward to the keen golfer, it’s a lot harder than it looks, as only 210 golfers out of the 3,000 participants managed it last time. We’re looking forward to seeing how many people can make it. This year we hope to see them in the beautiful eastern Algarve region in November.”
