Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson is not on the trading block. Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan squashed the idea, again, in a A message to Pierre Lebrun from TSN’s Hockey Insider.
“He’s not calling the teams about Tom Wilson, and he doesn’t want to trade Tom Wilson, [and] LeBron said of McClellan’s letter to him.
The rumor resurfaced Monday when former Ottawa Senators defenseman Jason York said he had been hearing the Capitals were shopping Wilson, this time especially to Ottawa.
former # the senses DI Jason York, speaking on a show he hosts Monday with a local podcaster, said he’d heard the Washington Capitals would like to make a deal to send power winger Tom Wilson to Ottawa. If so, it would be a solid addition.

Rumors about the Capitals wanting to trade Tom Wilson also surfaced a few weeks ago during the Stanley Cup Finals, which were quickly squashed by Sportsnet’s Elliott Friedman.
“During the Final, I didn’t get a chance to look into it much. I heard the reports. I’ll be honest, I didn’t hear any of the information myself. But I did hear the reports. So I finally looked into it now that the Stanley Cup Final was over, and I got turned down,” Friedman said.
“I was told that wouldn’t happen. I was told that the Capitals want to keep him, and they see him as a big part of their future.”
A nugget that comes at the end of the new episode of KOTP.
