Callaway’s new range of CB wedges, which will go on sale from July 7, are designed to provide amazing spin and feel for golfers who prefer a bit more tolerance than what’s available in a traditional player’s wedge.
From player-friendly shaping, outstanding feel techniques and aggressive grooves, CB wedges were created for players who want maximum confidence from their short game.
The hollow back design provides a friendlier shape in heading to benefit playability on all types of wedges, while the larger head size and grooves across the face add confidence in heading. On the sole, a pre-supplied leading edge acts like a skid plate to avoid digging in, and it’s paired with a higher bounce for added tolerance.
The CB is Callaway’s first wedge to feature our unique Urethane Microspheres. They are strategically placed behind the center of the face to enhance feel and sound.
Featuring aggressive jaw grooves, which have been processed with a face blast to enhance surface roughness on the face, the CB wedges provide maximum spin on short putts around the green. Full face grooves on the 54°, 56°, 58° and 60° models ensure maximum groove-ball contact wherever the ball hits the face.
True Temper’s Elevate 95 is a stock steel shaft, while Project X Catalyst (65g) and UST F1 graphite options are available in WMS flex. The Golf Pride’s Specialized Wedge Grip is longer than usual to enable users to choke the club for improved distance control.
