Denver Nuggets guard Bruce Brown praised U Miami coach Jim Larrañaga earlier this week, calling him a great man to play under and declaring that the 73-year-old only brings in winners.
(via Denver Nuggets):
Barry Jackson: I just wanted to ask you about the status of the hurricane program. I think there was some surprise nationally about the Final Four. Was there any surprise for you? And do you think with Coach L and the climate and all the attractive things about UM, that’s a realistic thing to do running? You won’t make it to the Final Four every year, but you will run consistently? “
brown: “Am I surprised? No. Coach L is a great coach. He has great players to share. They all subscribe to his system. They want to win. He gets winners to come in and play very hard. So it’s not surprising. Every year, I think their goal is to win a national championship.” They have the players to do that. So, I can’t wait until next year.”
