The arrival of Bruce Brown to the Denver Nuggets was arguably the most important player acquisition of the last offseason. The attacking man shocked the NBA after striking a friendly deal with the team worth $13.2 million for two years. This signing by Denver left most wondering how the Brooklyn Nets managed to give away a hunk who had been the primary defensive ace for two straight seasons.
With that being said, Brown recently appeared on The Dan LeBatard Show and dropped a huge discovery in his free agency case this past summer.
“Honestly, I don’t think it was the Nets front office, the organization made that decision. But from what I heard, they wanted me back.” open.
The Browns were asked who he thought influenced his exit to Brooklyn, but the veteran just broadcast a suspicious response.
“I can’t say much about that.”
However, his departure was a blessing in disguise for him as he was able to escape the franchise’s final demolition to their main heart Kevin Durant-Kyrie Irving in the 2022-23 mid-season. His current partnership with the Nuggets couldn’t be more perfect for him either, as he and the club are now just four wins away from their first title.
Brown’s past tenure with the Nets was full of drama, but his current and future endeavors are truly bright and drool-worthy given that he’s raised his bar when serving as one of the drivers of the Nuggets’ current playoff success.
