British Virgin Islands International Leslie Smith has entered into a new one-year agreement with Plc Bristol Flyersmarking the active big man’s fourth full season with the SGS Arena club.
Smith Versey joined the Flyers in 2016 and played 55 games with the club between 2016 and 2018, tallying 11 points and seven rebounds. Enjoy short stints around the league with Sheffield Sharks and the Plymouth Raiders before returning to the Flyers last season, where he posted 3.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15 minutes per game.
After announcing his position back, Flyers coach Andreas Capoulas said:
“Leslie was able to make up for lost time last season and did a fantastic job adapting to his new role, helping our team perform at their best. He is a capable team player who will impress our frontcourt with his versatility and experience. Bristol is Leslie’s second home and we are delighted he is back next season.”
Smith brings a wealth of experience to coach Capolas’ roster in 2023/24 and now, ahead of his fourth season with the club, the striker is relishing the opportunity to compete both domestically and domestically. Northern European Basketball League (ENBL) this chapter.
