The Golden State Warriors have become one of the most historic franchises of the past decade. As a team, they’ve been to six NBA Finals appearances and won four championships since 2014-15. All of this success came under the leadership of President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Bob Myers. He has been the general manager of Golden State since April 2012. However, his future with the franchise is in doubt.
Myers is one of 11 general managers in NBA history to have won the CEO Award multiple times. He won the award in 2014-15 and 2016-2017. The 48-year-old built the Warriors roster what it is today. He hired Steve Kerr as the head coach and drafted Steve Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
This is why Myers is so “torn” about his upcoming decision regarding his future with the Golden State Warriors.

Will Bob Myers stay with the Golden State Warriors after this season?
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported yesterday that Warriors general manager Bob Myers plans to take a few weeks to make up his mind. He said Myers is “torn” on what he wants to do. GM carries an enormous amount of weight and respect throughout the entire organization.
Maintaining Myers would be pivotal in the later years of Steph Curry’s career. The four-time NBA champion only has many years left before he plays at the championship level. If the Warriros want the best possible roster to make the most of that time, keeping Myers would be ideal.
Right now, Myers is undecided about whether he wants to sign another contract with the Warriors. Myers has built a Hall of Fame career with Golden State as an executive and has some tough decisions ahead. He can choose to give up the franchise he built from nothing. Warriors fans would love to see him stay to help take advantage of the still-open championship window.
