The main event of Bellator 295 features the Grand Prix All-Marble Championship Final between Raufeon Stots and Patchy Mix.
Although technically Sergio Pettis is waiting in the wings, this fight between Stots and Mix feels just as important as the $1 million prize attached to it.
I’m a huge Stots fan and have been calling for him to be making waves at Bellator for quite some time now. The Roufusport actor has diversified his skills at the southpaw under his Texas coach, Eve Edwards, and carries deadly wrestling credentials in his back pocket.
However, I suspect Stots’ tendency to turtle or give his neck when returning shots could cost him here. Not only does the ultimate fighter blend front and back exposures, but the 29-year-old seems to have taken it to another level since switching up his camps to Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.
This is a very tough fight to choose from, but I will reluctantly stand by Meeks to find an opportunistic submission through the first three rounds.
