“This is the best I’ve ever felt in my career,” Ricky Fowler said after his run on Saturday. “Tomorrow is a whole new day, and that’s kind of when the tournament really begins.”
Wise words from the 34-year-old, who is chasing his first major championship after many close calls.
It’s down to the wires in Los Angeles, where, barring a superstar run from behind, the leaderboard has been compressed to produce a few possible favorites to lift the trophy on Sunday night.
Co-captain Windham Clark, like Fowler, is also seeking his first major.
“I feel like my best rides are still there,” he said. “I hope it’s my day.”
The US Open has always had a reputation as golf’s toughest test. Sunday’s run will be an unparalleled physical and mental challenge.
Who will emerge victorious?
We can’t wait to watch.
Catch a recap of the highlights from the LACC’s Round 3 golf crew in the video above. And be sure to set a date tomorrow for the team’s final serve from the 2023 US Open.
