Andrew Wiggins is energetic and will fit into Game 6 for the Golden State Warriors against the Los Angeles Lakers despite a broken rib, for every Dalton Johnson from NBC Sports.
The Warriors noted that they would announce Wiggins’ availability on the Friday of pregame practices. He is seen wearing a protective undershirt while doing shooting and solo practice.
Wiggins reportedly fractured his left costal meniscus (rib cage) when he took an out-of-the-box fight against LeBron James in the fourth quarter of their Game 5 win last Wednesday. After taking the attack board, he is seen grabbing the left side of his ribcage.
With the defending champs facing elimination as they lost 3-2 in the second round against the Lakers, Wiggins’ two-way presence couldn’t be more needed to force a decisive Game 7 comeback in San Francisco. As such, it is not yet clear whether Steve Kerr will limit the star winger’s exposure and workload.
Wiggins records 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in five games against the Lakers.
