Amir Elbazy and Kai Kara-France went the distance at UFC Vegas 74, and the official scorecards from Saturday’s headline at UFC APEX reveal a split judging panel.
Albazzi eventually came back to a split decision by scores 48-47 twice with one score being 48-47 for Cara-France in the ESPN+ main event.

Of the 5 rounds, judges Chris Lee, Sal D’Amato and Mike Bell approved only 3 of them: Rounds 2 and 3 to Albazzi via 10-9 and Round 5 to Cara-France with the same score. D’Amato contested the first round, giving the lead to Albazzi while Lee and Bell saw it the other way around. And in the fourth round, which was set early as one of the most contested frames, D’Amato and Bell were in the majority, scoring 10-9 to Cara-France, while Li got the same with Albazzi.
Among the media scores compiled by MMADecisions, Kara-France was the heavy favorite, with 19 of 21 giving him the win. Ten of these earned the New Zealand fighter 4-1. Of the two who gave the fight to Al-Bazi, both were 3-2 to the Iraqi fighter.
