Performance of the Night: Sean O’Malley

Sean O’Malley (18-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) put on arguably the best overall performance of his career with a unanimous decision sweep of the scorecards against Marlon Vera (21-9-1 MMA, 15-8 UFC) in the main event. Not only did O’Malley defend the bantamweight title, he avenged the only loss of his career, which came to Vera in 2020. Because he injured his leg in that fight, O’Malley contends it wasn’t a real loss, and that his performance in the rematch reinforces that.
