Glismann hits an inverted omoplata at Oktagon 43
Lewis Glisman told Cageside Press he wanted another highlight reel win over Melvin van Suijdam at Oktagon 43, where the pair met for the second time. Glisman collided with a knee bar when the pair first met in 2018; On Saturday, as part of the Tipsport Gamechanger welterweight tournament, he managed to land an inverted omoplata.

Aljo opens up about the Quick Turnaround for UFC 292
The Aljamain Sterling vs. Sterling’s camp has questioned the announcement, but Sterling admitted last week that he had verbally agreed to the bout – although it was not yet clear if he would make it to the fight.
“I told them yes, I agreed verbally,” Sterling said of his counterpart Weekly podcast snippets (free MMA junkie). “But, of course, my body has to agree. It’s kind of like Manel Capy vs. Devson Figueiredo and I thought he was good for the fight, and then he appointed him – whatever, whatever. Then I have to test my biceps again to see because I definitely feel like I’ve done I adjusted it in combat, but it held.Even bending now hurts.
“So, I don’t know. We’ll see. So, you guys have the inside scoop. I’m going to try and make it happen. It’s going to be a sick, crazy detour. But where there’s the will, there’s a way.”
KSI’s win over Joe Fournier turned into No Decision
Youtuber KSI saw his win over Joe Fournier reversed into a no-decision, after the fight ended due to an apparent elbow/forearm contact.
Misfits Boxing hosted the card at the OVO Arena at Wembley in London, England, which was overseen by the Professional Boxing Association. It was the PBA who did a review of the score, and moved quickly to overturn the score.
A press release from the PBA reads:
Although KSI won the fight, the forearm/elbow strike was accidental and obvious disappointment would follow, it was decided to declare the contest a no-decision as per the rules.
“The PBA conducted the review properly, fairly and with legal assistance throughout the match as the match was sanctioned and regulated under the Unified Rules of Boxing. We made sure that this process was conducted quickly and fairly to preserve the integrity of boxing.”
Don’t expect this to be replayed, though.
David Feldman hopes Mike Perry will return to BKFC
After his stellar success against Luke Rockhold last month, Mike Perry is a free agent – but BKFC president David Feldman hopes to keep him in the fold.
“I want to bring him back, for sure,” Feldman said I recently told MMA Fighting. “He embodies everything I look for in this sport as far as the fight is concerned, and in terms of the way he acts, he sells himself, he does a good job in this sport. I think we have a great relationship. I think he will come back.” [A] Great show on the table, if it doesn’t [re-sign]I wish him the best. But I don’t think that will be the case.
“He’s built for the sport. He’s really built for the sport. If he goes back to mixed martial arts, he’s not a wrestler, he’s not an earth man — although he can grapple, I don’t know if that’s his calling. I know that’s his calling.” He’s already a star here. He’s become a recognized star already and I think he can be a star with us. I hope he comes back. I think he will come back, but time will tell.”
Perry parted ways with the UFC in 2021 and promptly defeated boxer Michael Seals in Triad Combat, before breaking a 3-0 bareknuckle boxing record for BKFC. This race includes the fight against Rockhold, as well as victories over Michael “Venom” Page and TUF alum Julian Lane.
