Aleksander Volkanovsky believes that Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira will compete again in the future.
Throughout their rivalry, Yisrael Adesanya and Alex Pereira have fought each other four times. The first two encounters came in kickboxing, and the third in mixed martial arts. While Pereira held a 3-0 lead, Adesanya got a measure of revenge by knocking out “Poatan” earlier this year, reclaiming the UFC Middleweight Championship in the process.
At the moment, Pereira is expected to make his light heavyweight debut in his upcoming tour. Meanwhile, Adesanya will defend his belt against winner Robert Whitaker vs. Dricus du Plessis later this year.

In the eyes of Aleksander Volkanovski, however, the UFC will end up having an Adesanya vs Pereira in a three-way MMA match at some point.
“…I think it will happen. I think it’s not something that will happen right away,” Volkanowski said. “… obviously three fights in a row is not always good. As we’ve seen before, but you don’t really want them like that, so they have to agree, if[Pereira]wants to go up, say, win the light heavyweight title, then they fight for like a champ. Like, obviously the fight can be huge. Whether this is what the UFC is planning, I don’t know. I think that would be very smart.”
