Scouts from dozens of NBA teams crowded the Activity Center at Riverview Park on Wednesday, as the top prospects in the class of 2025, Cameron Bowser and Cooper Flag, faced off at the Nike Peach Jam.
Bowser is the No. 1 recruit in the class, but Flagg has been fighting to outpace him and catapult solid Columbus (Miami, FL) forward in the rankings. Flagg took home MVP honors in head-to-head last week at NBPA’s Top 100 Players Camp.
Flagg, the tough tackler at Montverde (FL) Academy, was looking to bounce back offensively after scoring just seven points Monday afternoon — a game that impacted him more on the defensive end than the offensive, recording 10 blocks.
Boozer, who helped his team win the Peach Jam title last year alongside his twin brother Kayden Boozer, scored 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in the Peach Jam opener.
Flagg and his twin brother, Ace, led Maine United to victory over the Boozers Nitridas on Tuesday, by a score of 73-65. Cooper had 21 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks, while Ice had 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Cameron scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and two blocks, while four-star Kayden had 11 points and five assists.
