Marlon Moraes tests his skills with Gabriel Alves Braga in PFL 4: Regular Season on June 8.
Moraes has appeared on Bowks Talking Bouts to discuss how he feels about his former opponent being suspended by the NSAC, the machinations of this new matchup, and more. Excerpts from our conversation above.

Moraes’ feelings for his former opponent Alejandro Flores who had to withdraw after being suspended from the NSAC
“Man, honestly, I have nothing to say about that. I’m in a tournament and when you’re in a tournament you have to expect to fight anybody. The other time I was there we were locked in, and I had an opponent. But I really expected to fight anybody. If my opponent had to change fight day, I would have expected because this is a tournament. For the integrity of the sport, it’s good for them to test the fighters.”
Marlon Moraes continued, “I don’t know, you know. I don’t know what he did. I’m not one to judge fighters and say what they can and can’t. A lot of people make mistakes in life. Why not a commission? We never know. I can’t say any.” Something because I can’t prove it.So, I just worry about my fight, getting there, performing…you never know.Maybe they could be wrong because I’ve seen people prove it.But I don’t think with PFL, you have the time, You know. I don’t know, man (laughs). I don’t know why. It’s a tough situation.”
PFL 2023
If by any chance he feels like he’s the first to beat an undefeated fighter and Moraes thoughts on the skill set Braga brings to the table
“No man. He’s a great talent, you know. Like the PFL that does the competition (series), they find a lot of good talent. This guy’s from Rio (de Janeiro) too. I’m from Rio, I moved to the US a long time ago. I know the way they operate, but this will be the biggest test of his career for sure, he’s facing me. Now he’s going to have to hang out with the lions, you know… He’s a tough guy, you know. He’s a good striker. A tough guy but I see myself hitting him and I have the weapons to beat him.” He’s a good fighter but he’s not at my level, not yet.”
PFL 4
Being a former WSOF Champion and being part of the same linear promotion now as the company brings in Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul and they navigate super pay-per-view fights
“It’s great, man. It’s great to see Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul, and all the rumors behind the PFL. They’re doing the right thing. They’re doing what they have to do. To be big you have to have big names and big stars. I’m glad I am grateful to be on the list and see the Chief in action.”
