On June 10, 2023, the Strong Island Fight Night Series returns for its second segment at Stereo Park in Patchoug, Long Island, NY. return One of the heroes of the sixth district (SBC) scheduled for 18 boxing matches. Promoter Christian Vasquez joined Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast To talk about the next event. Doors are expected to open at 4 p.m. and fights to begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday night.
A former two-time Golden Gloves boxing champion, Vazquez is working hard to put the spotlight on the Long Island Boxers. As stated in the interview with the promoter, “It’s not a show, it’s an event.” As fans stroll the Stereo Garden facility, there will be a red carpet on hand for the media to capture the glitz and glamor of the event.
USA Boxing Metro will be the third party sanctioning body for this event. Six SBC titles will be at stake. Designed by Vazquez, the blue belt will be draped around the waists of six winners, including one international title.
The main event is between Derek Pedone of Vamos Boxing in Long Island and Kenny Ocean of Bout Boxing in Brooklyn. The super heavyweight elite fight will compete for the SBC title.
In the co-main event, SBC champion Melvin Martinez of Champs Boxing in the Bronx seeks to defend his 156-pound Elite title against number one contender, Peter Latorre of Westbury Boxing in Long Island.
In a feature match, Vamos Boxing fighter Collin Clarke seeks revenge against his opponent Israel Bailey of South Bronx boxing in the Bronx, in a 165-pound SBC bout.
