In Dallas, the Stars held off the Seattle Kraken Monday night in a 2-1 victory in Game 7 of the second round series.
“It was our team’s best game in the playoffs,” Stars coach Peter DeBoer said. “I knew our group would respond (from a 6-3 loss in Game 6 on Saturday). They’ve had it all year individually and collectively as a team, and it didn’t disappoint.”
The win sends Dallas to the Western Conference Final against the Vegas Golden Knights.
“Vegas,” said Debor. “There’s a lot to unpack there. I think we’ll just have fun tonight and talk about it as we move forward.”
Rob Hintz Scored in the middle fame after a goalless first half.
“I think this was the best game we had in the series today,” Hintz said. “Everyone was today. We worked all over the ice. We tried to play it simple and then we worked with our feet.”
Jake Oettinger He made 22 saves in the Dallas win.
“I don’t think I had the best streak of my career, but it shows what a good team we are,” said Oettinger. “I feel like the best hockey is still ahead of me. It just goes to show how good a team we have. This is playoff hockey. It’s up and down. You think you might get out of it, and then you’re going to the final conference.”
“When you asked me if you think you can win (the Stanley Cup), I feel like not every year you can honestly say yes. I think this year I feel we can win it. We have it all. When we play the way we want to and do the little things right I think we can beat anyone.”
Hintz scored at 15:59 after stealing the puck from Team Kraken Jimmy Oleksiak .
White Johnston Dallas pushed the advantage to 2-0 at 12:48 of the third after beating the Seattle defense to puck below the Kraken goal line.
“What a goal,” said Debor. “It’s not just a goal, it’s a goal that’s hard to explain. I don’t know how many players would think of doing it, it doesn’t matter that you pull it off and score like that on that play. It’s an elite, world-class play by one of the youngest players in the league (Johnston turned 20). His age is on Sunday). Just a phenomenon.
Seattle’s only goal came with 17 seconds left in the third period.
“We gave our best tonight, we just couldn’t find our best equipment,” Seattle coach Dave Huxtol said. “Give Dallas a lot of credit for that. To a degree, they answered the game we played in Game Six. They came home and pressured us. As we got into that second period, they tilted the game in their direction.”

“From day one, we kind of wrote everyone off,” the Kraken frontman said Jordan Eberle He said. “So, we’ve made a huge leap this year. I didn’t think anybody expected us to make the playoffs, nobody expected us to beat Colorado, nobody expected us to make it to seven here. I think we see, as a group, that this is the first time we’ve made it.” With this. Obviously, you have to learn how to lose first and then find a way to win.”
Philip Grobauer Made 26 saves in a loss to the Kraken.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t stop at the second goal, but we fought back again, scored a goal to make it 2-1 and, unfortunately, we ran out of time,” said Grobauer.
