The Alexandria boys hockey team earned its third-straight win on Tuesday with a dominant 8-0 win at home over Willmar.
Alexandria (5-10-1) had a 58-23 shot on goal advantage in the game. Seven different players scored for Alexandria in the win.
Tyler Kludt, Nick Peterson and Leo Kompelien scored in the first period, while Evan Anderson scored in the second period. Alexandria ended the game with goals by Joe Lamski, Kompelien, Jack Lamski and Zaven Noetzelman scored in the third frame for Alexandria.
Cameron O’Shea, Kasen Muscha and Matthew Hornstein had two assists in the game, while Kludt, Keegan Lucy, Noetzelman, Joe Lamski, Bennett Olsen and Owen Draper had one.
Jackson Cavers earned the win in net for Alexandria with 23 saves.

Alex girls shut down Willmar

The Alexandria girls hockey team (10-10-1) put 48 shots on goal and scored three times in a 3-1 win over Willmar (11-7-1) on the road on Tuesday.
Lillian Dutton got the scoring started for Alexandria in the first period, while Ella Westlund scored the game’s second goal 33 seconds into the second frame.
Willmar scored once at the end of the second frame, but Alexandria iced the game in the third period with a Sophia Korynta goal.
Westlund, along with Lauren Maras, Aubrie Porter, Kylie Lattimer and Jersey Severson, had assists for Alexandria in the win.
Rachael Mohr earned the win in net for Alexandria and had 10 saves. Alexandria had a 48-11 shot on goal advantage.
Alexandria is on the road again on Friday at 7 p.m. against Grand Rapids/Greenway (13-9).
